For Jordan Herskowitz, the motivation behind the founding of Richie's Spirit Foundation came from the desire to keep his brother's, Richie's, memory alive for years to come. While Richie passed in 2007, his positive spirit continues to impact those who never even knew him.
Meet Lauren McGlothlin, one of those people who never had the chance to know Richie personally, but one so motivated by his story that she feels compelled to do more. This May, Lauren will take on the Air BnB Brooklyn Half Marathon in memory of Richie. Joining the #TeamRIchie initiative, Lauren is seeking to raise $5,000 to support the Foundation and its initiatives to promote organ donation.
"I have a close connection to the cause as I have known Jordan, RSF's Executive Director, for many years," Lauren said. "Although I never met Richie, I am inspired by his positive spirit and Jordan's determination to keep his memory alive through the foundation's important work."
